About Peter Hart, AIA

During his thirty-year professional career Peter Hart has cultivated a true “generalist” practice compiled of an eclectic array of skills, experience, locales, building types and clients.  Early in his career he was fortunate to acquire a strong foundation in corporate interior design, contract furniture and commercial floor covering which led to international corporate design work and foreign trade. This international experience nurtured unique problem-solving skills in the field and the ability to relate to a wide array of clientele. Subsequently, clients have included educational, non-profit, medical, health-care, corporate, private developer, individual home-owner and other architects. Personal emphasis has always been focused upon solving the technical issues of architecture, including zoning / building code compliance, services integration, structural efficiency and building envelope integrity, parallel with solving the clients programmatic issues, desired image and budget constraints.  Every architectural solution must achieve the perfect compromise of use, brand, aesthetics and building systems in an environmentally responsible manner. Mr. Hart holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from The Boston Architectural College and a Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, from St. Lawrence University.  He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and maintains licenses to practice architecture in the states of Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Virginia.
